Foundations in Occupational Health and Safety
Foundations in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) focuses on fundamental safety skills and strengthens members knowledge of worker safety rights and responsibilities. This course includes modules on worker rights, employer and worker responsibilities, union resources and supports for members to develop confidence in collaborative action.
Foundations in OHS is comprised of downloadable online resources and one scheduled live session. The information and supports explored will empower members to engage and participate in health and safety activities in their workplace.
Course Format
The course includes:
- Live session: Virtual or in-person session designed for interactive learning and practical application.
- Downloadable online resources: Practical tools and reference materials to help participants implement what they've learned and share knowledge with their coworkers.
There are no pre-course requirements. All materials are provided as references for use during and after the live session.
