OHS Hazard Identification and Inspections

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Hazard Identification and Inspections is an intermediate-level course which complements foundational Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) training. Learners take a deep dive into hazard identification, risk assessments, control measures, evaluation and follow-up.

This course combines both theory and practical activities to facilitate learning. Supporting legislation and contractual requirements will also be explored. This course is taken following JOHSC Basics or JOHSC Essentials Courses.

Course Format

The course includes:

  • Live session: Virtual or in-person session designed for interactive learning.
  • Online resources: Practical tools and reference materials to help participants implement what they've learned and share knowledge with their coworkers.

There are no pre-course requirements. All materials are provided as references for use during and after the live session.

Course Requirements

  • Active BCNU Member
  • Completed Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee Basics Course or BCNU Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee Essentials Course
