Steward Advanced
Steward Advanced is a blended learning course comprised of weekly online learning activities and four live sessions scheduled over a 2-month period.
This course is facilitated by BCNU education officers and builds on labour relations concepts, communication practices, and leadership theory introduced in Steward Essential and Intermediate courses.
BCNU labour relations officers mentor participants on their steward practice while participants mentor a new steward. This process helps advanced learners to reflect on their current skills and abilities. Participants are also asked to set personal goals for strengthening their skill set.

Blended Learning: Weekly online learning activities, three virtual live sessions and one in-person live session.
Course Requirements
Participants must currently be registered as an active steward (elected or appointed) having completed:

Steward Advanced is part of the BCNU Steward Education Program, which includes three sequential labour relations courses (Steward Essentials/Steward Intermediate/Steward Advanced) and Crucial Conversations.
